CSU Chico School of the Arts Calendar

Brief

Design a poster that lists the season's events for CSU Chico's School of the Arts.

Concept

Events are distributed through the use of color, time and type of event. Events that occur for an extended length of time are joined together by a vertical line, showing the first and last day of the event. Smooth vs. sharp angles mimic the rhythm of art. this is portrayed through the use of basic shapes and the contrasting typefaces Cooper Black and Candara.

Process

The process included experimentation with several geometric shapes, and a creative new way to display information on a calendar.
